Elena Gennadyevna Tarasova (born 16 May 1984, Moscow, USSR) is a Russian pianist. Laureate of international competitions, Associate Professor at the Tchaikovsky Moscow State Conservatoire, member of the World Piano Teachers Association, member of the International Union of Musicians.
Born on 16 May 1984 in Moscow. She began to study music at the age of four at Children's Music School No. 9 (class of Galina Sidorova). From 1990 to 2002 she studied under Olga Yevgenyevna Mechetina at the Academic Music School, then at the Academic Music School of the Moscow Conservatoire. From 2002 to 2010 she studied at the Moscow Conservatoire with Sergei Leonidovich Dorensky and Pavel Tigranovich Nersesyan; she also took special classes with Andrei Alexandrovich Pisarev and Nikolai Lvovich Lugansky. In 2010, after completing her postgraduate studies (supervised by S. L. Dorensky and P. T. Nersesyan) she began her teaching career at the Moscow Conservatoire, which she continues to pursue to the present day.
