Alexander Nikolaychuk is a balalaika performer, graduate of the Gnessin Russian Academy of Music, laureate of all-Russian and international competitions, soloist of the N.P. Osipov NAONIR, soloist of the “Balalaika Trio” project.
Born in Irkutsk, at the age of seven he began to study music under the guidance of A. Glukman. At the age of 18 he moved to Moscow to continue his studies at the Gnessin Russian Academy of Music (class of Professor A. Gorbachev), in 2020 he completed his postgraduate studies.
During his years of study he became a prize-winner of more than 20 All-Russian and international competitions, including the M.F. Rozhkov International Balalaika Performers Competition (Nizhny Novgorod, 2013), II All-Russian Music Competition (Moscow, 2017) and others.
Actively conducts concert activities in Russia and abroad, performed concerts in the USA, China, Portugal, France, Serbia, Israel.
He has represented Russian culture at concerts of state importance, such as the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Russia and China (Bolshoi Theater, 2019), Opening of the cross year between Russia and Kyrgyzstan (State Kremlin Palace, 2020).
In 2021 he was awarded the Certificate of Honor of the Kyrgyz Republic for his great contribution to the strengthening and development of cooperation between the two countries in the field of culture and art within the framework of the cross year between Kyrgyzstan and Russia.
