Vladimir Toka’s Yenisei Watercolors is an album of symphonic music by the famous Tuvan composer Vladimir Toka (1942–2008) performed by the Siberian State Symphony Orchestra conducted by Mikhail Mosenkov. The album has the same name as the project of the Krasnoyarsk Philharmonic Society dedicated to the composer’s 80th anniversary. The program includes the composer’s best known works, including the Taiga Symphony, Nocturne for oboe, piano and string orchestra, the song Duruyaa, etc. inspired by the mighty nature of the Greater Yenisei, Vladimir Toka’s music captures the features of Tuvan culture.
